This man is on fire!” A State of Trance ‏@asot (#ASOT663)

“…another new talent that you will hear a lot from him in the future.” Aly & Fila (FSOE#262)

Andres is a British/Spanish DJ and producer hailing from London, England. Andres has been a DJ since his university days and is one of the fastest rising stars in the UK trance scene. He enjoys a variety of styles but considers himself a specialist in uplifting, tech and progressive trance.

Andres’ first official release was an uplifting remix of Andy Tau’s summer trance stormer ‘Hope’ released by Infrasonic Recordings in May 2011:

He followed this up with a belting tech-trance collaboration with long-time Infrasonic regular Sean Truby, entitled ‘Get Real’. It became the debut release on the now well-established Infrasonic sublabel, Interstate Recordings:

Andres originally appeared under the guise ‘Dirty Sanchez’; having started out producing whitelabel trance and electro bootlegs. Several received widespread support, most notably his rework of Marco V and Prodigy entitled ‘The Loops are No Good’, which was played on BBC Radio 1 by Judge Jules.

Andrés soon had original material appearing on Slinky and Unearthed Records; as well as collaborations on Kill the Lights (with Trilucid) and Monster Digital (with Chris North, as “North & Sanchez”). He also featured on the remix package for the 2012 re-release of Suncatcher’s classic anthem “Losing Daylight”, released on Alter Ego.

2013 saw two plays on BBC Radio 1 (on Residency Shows hosted by Jordan Suckley and Simon Patterson respectively) for the North & Sanchez collaborations “Kapow” and “Ooosh!”; and later on that year Andrés also marked his debut on A State of Trance Radio, as the massive uplifter (in the words of Armin van Buuren himself) “Ganymede” being played on ASOT614:

More recently Andrés’ productions have been brought to the attention of the trance establishment at Dutch mega-label Armada. Aly & Fila have been long-time admirers and in 2014 three of Andres’ original productions were signed up to their internationally-renowned label, Future Sound of Egypt. Two of these (“Raw Nerve” and “Until Amnesia”) went on to appear on A State of Trance Radio in May 2014 (ASOT663).

Garnering support from trance luminaries such as Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Ben Gold, Sean Tyas, Simon Patterson, Bryan Kearney, Jordan Suckley, Manuel Le Saux and many more; Andres’ name will be on the lips of many a trance fan today, tomorrow and well into the future. As Aly & Fila put it, Andres is certainly one to look out for… Bio is taken from Dj List Andres profile

Andromedha is Patryk Solecki, born in 1990 from the small town of Rymanow, Poland, currently living and studying in the second largest city in Poland, Cracow.

Patryk landed into the industry relatively recently in 2012 with his debut track ‘Illes Balears’ and instantly knew this was his calling to keep going. The music he creates stems from a deep passion and determination and although his heart is in progressive he likes to experiment with other genres and keep the boundaries wide open as he feels music should be judged on its artistic content and not by the genre its categorised in to. There’s a truth to be found in the music he creates as it stems from life experiences, a mirror of his life and emotions.

Andromedha has had release on the likes of Infrasonic, Mistique Music, Graygoo and Progressive House Worldwide and has recently signed up to the brand new upcoming agency Apollo Artists Agency who are dedicated to bringing some of the finest upcoming talents the recognition they deserve. He has made it into the play lists of some great artists such as Tucandeo, Markus Schulz, Max Graham, Roger Shah and Grube & Hovsepian.

Patryk take another leap on the scene with Darkpload Music, bringing us Darkpload Records, Darkpload Deep and Darkpload Mastering Services, he co-owned and manage the brand which has been received well and gained some massive support.

The driving force that is Andromedha and Patryk Solecki will take us deeper into the sounds and creations of the brand, the music will never be about what must be done but always about what he feels should be done. Music is the energy from within the soul it brings emotions and feeling along with every single sound and this is how its meant to be.

When I start to work on music everything else fades away, then a kind of magic happensPatryk Solecki.

The superb Mr Sam comes next on the 2nd episode of Trance Anthology with his superb melodic tribal tech trance style.

The roaring mid seventies experienced the birth of what rapidly would become a fine artistic craftsman and a multi talented producer in his own right. It was in the upper north of France in small town named Tourcoing, where Mr. Sam - known at Tourcoing City Hall as Samuel Paquet - laid the foundations for a healthy, prosperous musical career and a prominent sequence of fine releases and productions.

Born in the seventies, it was inevitable for Sam that he got injected in his early years with a high doses of Giorgio Moroder, a dash of Elvis Presley and a tinge of Klaus Schulze. An involuntary injection, as Sam’s parents had a habit of serving musical cocktails of electronic music and rock ‘n roll in the Paquet residence on a daily basis. As there was no escaping this musical indoctrination, Sam quickly developed a fascination for this mixture of styles and got hooked to the potpourri of squelchy synths and raging rock. This fascination lead to the purchase of a Depeche Mode record and from that moment on, Sam was firmly hooked. For Sam, growing up in the eighties meant an infection of a healthy stack of electronic versus rock, a combination which he learned to appreciate and, later on, loved.

Since 1995, Sam has pioneered his own musical style and showcased the art of DJ-ing in many French and Belgian clubs and on various events. An eclectic and varied DJ style drew huge attention to clubbers as well as promoters. As a result, Sam gained a solid reputation being one of the key catalysts of the French and Belgian nightlife throughout the nineties. Renowned clubs like La Rocca, Tour & Taxi, Pacha, La Bush and Lagoa all received a taste of Sam’s choice of music and mixing abilities, when he played alongside DJ legends such as Carl Cox, Nalin & Kane, Robert Miles, Luke Slater and Misstress Barbara.

Sam carefully started experiencing with newly bought studio equipment and soon created his very first compositions, focusing on a well balanced fusion of trance, progressive and electro. His very first production ever to hit the market became a remix for Circuit Boys “The Door”, released in 1999 on the legendary Belgian base imprint Diki Records. Heavy support by tastemakers such as Danny Tenaglia and Corvin Dalek followed, instantly launching the career of this ambitious Frenchman. This remix was followed up by stunning remixes for Dillinger & Capone - released on the infamous German label M.F.S. -, for “Mad Dogs” by German überproducer Timo Maas and Corvin Dalek’s classic “Pornoground”. Sam has accumulated a long list of more than sixty impressive remixes for a variety of A-list artists, ranging from Sinead O’Connor, Delirium, Age of Love, Praga Khan, Niels Van Gogh, Todd Terry and many others.

It was the Belgium based Yeti Records which gave Sam the opportunity in February 2002 to present his very first EP to the masses: “Pressurize”. Sam gave birth to a continuous stream of records of utmost quality, spreading the Mr. Sam virus to all corners of the globe. After signing a lucrative and solid deal with Tiësto’s Black Hole Recordings, Sam’s career catapulted in a flash resulting in worldwide licenses of his productions to labels like Kontor Records (Germany), Maelstrom Records (UK) and Central Station (Australia). Sam’s unstoppable string of releases paved Mr. Sam’s path even more thoroughly; “Lyteo” (2005), “Insight” (2006), “Split” (2007) and “Cygnes” (2008) - a collaboration with clAud9 - can be considered to be the absolute highlights in his ever expanding discography. His top notch debut album “Lyteo” (2006) displayed his versatility as a producer; breakbeats, electro, trance, techno and progressive were all blended into a 14-track digital inventory of Sam’s vault of treasures.

Upon signing an agreement with Black Hole Recordings, Sam got invited to DJ in Europe's finest venues, festivals and events like Mysteryland, Tomorrowland, Matrixx and Powerzone. But Europe wasn’t the only continent who received a shot of Mr. Sam; recently, he had the privilege to play in clubs in East Asia and the Middle East. Not just being satisfied with simply DJ-ing, Sam also performs live sets with production buddy Dimitri Andreas under their Mojado guise. Their radiant live performances have proved to be a resounding success. Production-wise, the duo delivered what just might be one of the biggest dance floor monsters in 2007, “Kaktus”, supported by just about everyone and anyone who matter in a DJ booth. Sam took the old school vibe of Kaktus and repeated the trick once more, as he combined forces with Human Resource to give their old time classic “Dominator” a well deserved second life.

Sam’s choice of tracks during his many DJ sets were digitally translated onto silver discs as well. The renowned “Opus” compilation, released in 2007 through Black Hole Recordings, was succeeded with “Opus Secundo” in 2008; both a 2-disc blue print of what one might expect when Sam is rocking the crowd on any party, in any club, on any continent.

With a brand new artist album on the verge of being released, a tight DJ schedule and a string of releases ready to be unleashed, Mr. Sam is definitely on his way to the upper regions of his beloved scene! [taken from his facebook About page]

The first guest mix on the second Trance Anthology episode comes from the golden hands of the fantastic JES. Born and bred in New York city, JES started singing and writing songs at a early age. After answering an advert in the village voice, her first professional recordings were made at the tender age of 14. JES tirelessly developed her craft over the coming years and gained a reputation amongst NY’s elite producers as the voice that could sell any song. Her own success didn’t materialize until she moved to California and began working with DJ’s and producers from the developing electronic music scene. JES had found a new channel for her music. The first major success came with world renowned DJ Paul Van Dyk’s “Politics Of Dancing” compilation CD. “P-O-D” opened the door to a flood of collaboration requests. Shortly after it’s release, JES wrote and recorded “As The Rush Comes” with then unknown Bay Area DJ’s, Gabriel & Dresden. The song, released under the “Motorcycle” monger, helped to redefine the landscape of modern dance music. JES’ soulful voice and edgy autobiographical songwriting was a refreshing departure for the electronic music world and helped to define the song’s genre blurring sound. After meeting Tiesto to talk about collaborating together, the worlds #1 DJ signed her to his own label Black Hole Recordings/Magik Muzik. Four artist albums followed and JES continues to collaborate with a host of the industry’s best talent. Whether she’s releasing her own song or joining forces with the likes of Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Cosmic Gate, BT, Ferry Corsten or ATB, her unmistakable voice and touching songs have enchanted an every growing legion of fans. The difference is that Steve will present and comment the tracks as well so will definitely give us new insights as we remember with him some of the finest progressive trance tracks ever released under the Enhanced Progressive imprint.

Last guests will be Solis & Sean Truby from Newcastle who make currently waves in the trance scene with releases on the finest imprints including Flashover Recordings and lately FSOE. The dynamic duo have prepared for us a massive Infrasonic Recordings Retrospective with some of their favourite tracks from their own record label.

The final 3hrs will be taken care by Dimitris who will select and mix for you some of his most precious trance tracks from his extensive vinyl & CD collection.

The biggest adventure in trance continues with Trance Anthology vol.2 on 1mix radio. Better be there and don't miss out cause you will regret it for sure.

Big thanks to all the artists for submitting their guest mixes.

Merry Christmas & Very Happy New Year 2018
